Most of our Houston lab technicians are veterans who received their metrology training through the military, bringing a high level of discipline, precision, and technical expertise to every calibration.

As a general-purpose calibration lab, our Houston facility provides both local depot and on-site calibration services while specializing in several advanced disciplines:

  • Serves as Transcat’s Primary DC Low-Frequency Lab, offering calibration of high-end electrical standards
  • Designated Primary Pressure Lab, providing expert calibration for deadweight testers and pressure controllers
  • High vacuum capabilities down to 0.00027 Pa
  • Ability to certify pressure units from 0.125 inches of water to 72,500 psi
  • RF and microwave calibration services up to 50 GHz
  • Advanced RF calibration capabilities, with a measurement capacity up to 50 GHz.

We also offer Reference Level Calibrations in multiple disciplines with faster turnaround than the OEM. Few commercial calibration operations are willing or able to develop the quality systems that allow Transcat to offer ISO/IEC 17025 accredited reference level calibrations. In fact, Transcat is one of a select few commercial calibration operations qualified to be accredited as a Reference Laboratory in the disciplines of Temperature, Electrical, Pressure, Dimensional, Mass and Humidity.
