Tektronix TM5003 Highlights

The TM 5000 mainframes extend the convenience of the TM 500 concept into the programmable instrument/IEEE Standard 488 area. The TM 5003 is a compact power module mainframe, accepting up to three single-wide instruments at one time. It is a benchtop mainframe, and has carry handles for portable applications. Although the TM5003 was designed specifically for the programmable TM 5000 line of test and measurement instruments, all of the TM 500 manual plug-in instruments will also operate in this mainframe. This allows manual and programmable instruments to be mounted together in adjacent slots, and permits unique compact combinations of test instruments to be assembled for specific test applications. The mainframe can be operated with less than a full complement of plug-in instruments installed. (Note: TM 5000 instruments cannot be operated in TM 500 mainframes.)

The TM 5003 includes a quiet fan for optimum cooling. It has feet, tilt-balls, handles, and front panel power switches.

The optional internal rear interface board offers the ability to have separate modular instruments interconnected. For example, the rear trigger output of a signal source can be interconnected to speed precise voltage setups. Any module can be internally connected through the mainframe and externally interfaced at the rear panel.
