Sr Validation Technician

Location:

  • Colorado - Home Based

Summary:

    • The primary responsibilities include preparing and executing validation IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols for temperature mapping and Autoclaves. Additionally, the ideal candidate will also be familiar with computerized systems, plant equipment, laboratory equipment, facilities, utilities, process control systems, for our clients in support of GMP/FDA requirements. Prior calibration services experience is a plus. Must know Kaye Validator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in FDA related manufacturing or laboratory operations.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, pharmaceutical GMPs (21 CFR 210 and 211), and/or ISO regulations.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports of serviced equipment and customer account information.
  • Control and maintain all assets needed to perform tasks such as tools, parts, and test equipment.
  • Create and execute written qualification protocols and accurately record, compile and summarize results using good documentation practices.
  • Familiar with pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing process, facilities and equipment, calibration, IQ, OQ, PQ, and development of SOPs.
  • Experience with software and process control applications is desirable- GAMP 5 guidance familiarity a plus.

Customer Service Coordinator

Position Description

  • Communicate with customers to inform them of issues and confirm shipping information/dates (in-person and via telephone/e-mail).
  • Update status of items in computer.
  • "Receive" items in using computer - enter detailed information regarding equipment into computer system.

Pipette Calibration Technician

Location:

  • Portland, ME

Summary:

    • Calibration, Preventative Maintenance and repair of client owned pipettes in a Transcat lab setting and at customer facilities. Organized, resourceful, highly motivated, and dedicated problem solver with the proven ability to work in unison with customers and staff. Ability to train, assist and mentor lower-level technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unpack incoming pipettes and review paperwork to determine customer’s service needs, coordinate with Transcat personnel and the client accordingly.
  • Uses computer software to record serial number, assign work order number to each job, and record calibration findings.
  • Performs calibration according to ISO 655.
  • Disassembles, cleans, inspects, repairs, and reassembles pipettes. Responsible for diagnosing problems and determining necessary repairs.
  • Reads and interprets technical diagrams of Pipettes.
  • Uses small hand-held tools to perform calibration and repair.
  • Ensures conformance with established calibration and repair standards.
  • Records parts used in repair process.
  • Completes necessary paperwork and on occasion repackage pipettes for shipment to client.
  • Keeps track of work orders and makes sure they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintains repair and calibration equipment.
  • Communicates with customers as necessary by phone and email.
  • Responsible for proper execution of prescribed safety procedures when handling equipment and hazardous materials.
  • Perform Technical Support duties when needed.
  • Occasionally works overtime when necessary to complete work on time.

Principle Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years experience with pipettes and working knowledge of installation, calibration, and repairing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of computers and databases.
  • May be required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.

Account Executive

Location:

  • Paxinos, PA

Summary:

    • Sells corporate products and services to a predetermined sales territory within North America. Selling and promoting calibration, and repair services over the telephone by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for making contact with customers via the telephone and email.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing customer base and incremental growth.
  • Achieves or exceeds a forecasted sales quota for the territory/industry assigned in calibration, repair and 3DM services. Meets and/or exceeds performance metrics set by management.
  • Works with management to ensure sales processes and sales activities are providing desired results.
  • Recall monthly calibration; on-sites and depot work in territory to maintain annual customer business.
  • Lead generation and prospecting will be required and some cold calling may be required. Makes appropriate follow up calls on leads forwarded by Marketing. Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell calibration services.
  • Completes general reporting on the territory activity in relation to quote status, planning and sales analysis as needed and requested by management.
  • Becomes technically astute and knowledgeable on services while demonstrating a consistent effort to increase job skills in technical proficiency.
  • With increasing proficiency, effectively overcomes business and technical roadblocks in order to penetrate and generate results within current customer base.

Calibration Technician II

Summary:

    • Calibration Technician II is a mid-level position. These technicians will have the ability to calibrate higher level equipment such as bench meters, and calibrate equipment across a minimum of three disciplines (or have an expert level of knowledge/calibration experience in one to two disciplines).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of electronics, mathematics, and measurement science to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the electrical, dimensional, optical, physical/mechanical, and/or chemical disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.
  • Perform corrective actions to address identified measurement problems.
  • Adapt equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements.
  • Maintain calibration standards.
  • Will perform these functions within a laboratory setting or at a customer site. (Typically, only Level II and Senior Technicians will perform "on-site" work).
  • Must have current valid Driver's License/Clean Driving Record.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school plus one year related experience and/or training.
  • PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) or TMDE (Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment) training + 2+ years of military experience in the calibration field should sufficiently prepare a candidate for this position.

Assistant Lab Manager

Location:

Summary:

  • This individual will have the responsibilities for assisting the Calibration Laboratory Manager in the execution of his or her duties, and when delegated, represent the Manager in his/her absence. Meet Corporate, Divisional and Lab goals, objectives and customer requirements through the effective management of the Calibration Laboratory Staff and effective communication and teamwork with local laboratory sales and corporate support staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all lab operations in the lab Managers absence.
  • Planning, developing strategies and controlling workflow.

  • Ensuring and enforcing compliance with all company, customer and governmental policies, procedures and standards and taking corrective actions when necessary.

Outbound Sales Specialist

Business Development Manager
(Business to Business office-based phone sales position)

Location:

  • Rochester, NY

Position Description:

  • Transcat is looking for career-minded, customer-oriented sales professionals with a proven track record of success who enjoy the “thrill of the hunt” with a corresponding rewarding compensation structure
  • Sell and promote Transcat products and services to new customers using needs analysis, value based, and consultative techniques by phone
  • Business to Business sales by phone
  • Responsible for new customer acquisition and development within assigned territory and/or industry channel
  • Responsible for service proposal generation, presentation, and follow-up
  • Meet and exceed key performance measurements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+yrs. related experience (Business to Business sales), phone sales a plus
  • Must be able to demonstrate a consistent record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Must be persistent and have excellent follow-up skills
  • Must thrive in a high performance environment; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office– Outlook, Excel and Word
