(NASDAQ: TRNS), a leading provider of accredited calibration, repair, inspection and laboratory instrument services and value-added distributor of professional grade handheld test, measurement and control instrumentation, today announced that it has filed a universal shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). Under the shelf registration statement, once declared effective by the SEC, Transcat may, from time to time in one or more future offerings, issue various types of securities, including common stock, warrants to purchase other securities, purchase contracts, and units up to an aggregate amount of $50 million. The Company has no current plans to issue securities under the registration statement.
