In this course participants will discuss historical consequences of ignoring the regulation of building construction and materials, and learn how to interpret and applying local government, state and federal legislative laws, pertaining to the administration and enforcement of a building code. Participants will also be able to define and apply concepts which are legally important to the administration and enforcement of a building code and establish or document rules of procedure used before a board of building code appeals.
