Durable construction: The indicators feature a sealed, washdown-safe, stainless-steel enclosure rated for NEMA 4X and IP69K environments. A "Guardian" touch panel protects against damage and keeps the unit watertight.
Overload protection: A "Quad-Spring" design in the scale bases protects sensitive load cells from shock and damage, offering 1000% overload protection—up to 10 times the rated base load.
Intuitive display: A large, 6-digit red LED display provides clear readings. Indicator lights inform the operator of the current measurement units, negative readings, zero balance, and motion.
Multiple units of measure: The scale supports multiple measurement units, including pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), ounces (oz), and grams (g).
Battery operation: Some models, like the 8000XL and 8000XLM, are available with a rechargeable battery that provides extended run time, typically over 60 hours. This allows for portability and use in locations without reliable AC power.
Data output: Standard communication includes a programmable bi-directional RS-232 port. Optional interfaces are available for enhanced connectivity, such as USB, Ethernet (wired or wireless), and 4-20mA.
