Metrology Engineer – Physical Disciplines
|I have 13 years of experience in validation ranging from controlled temperature unit mapping to computer automated systems validation. I traveled a European circuit assisting in the Quality review of a Global ERP system utilized by a large International Contract Manufacturer. I also gained experience at VWR International where I organized, launched, and managed their first validation division. At Transcat, I am continuing the role I had at VWR by managing the newly acquired Validation department as well as assisting in the growth of the entire compliance division.||I've been with Transmation/Transcat since 1984. I started in the Transmation Engineering department and worked on new product development. From there I moved into a Sales Management role first at Transmation, then later at Transcat. I currently have both Sales and Marketing responsibilities at Transcat in our Product Distribution business.||I have 37 years’ experience in metrology, including 30 years with Ruska Instrument Corporation and presently serve as a Metrology Engineer with Transcat Inc., managing the technical aspects of physical metrology. I was awarded two US Patents, have authored and presented numerous technical papers and tutorials at conferences around the world, and was an active participant of the committee that wrote NCSLi RISP 4, a guide to estimating uncertainty when using deadweight pressure gauges.|
|I have been with Transcat for 13 years. I received metrology training in the US Navy. My career at Transcat began as a Calibration Technician in 2001, and I was appointed to quality team in 2005 as a Supplier Quality Analyst. I was appointed Quality Manager in 2013. I hold an AS in Engineering Science and am an American Society for Quality Certified Calibration Technician. I am qualified as a Lead Auditor for ISO 17025, ISO 9001 and nuclear applications.|
