Job Description:
Transcat Inc. is a global leader in test and measurement equipment and calibration services for the pharmaceutical, defense, medical device manufacturing, nuclear power generating and other similarly regulated and high-tech industries. We are seeking a career-minded, positive, energetic Business Development Manager to join our team.
Transcat is the benchmark standard for quality products and calibration services and the preferred industry supplier of test, measurement and calibration equipment. Successful candidates must possess the desire to become knowledgeable about our technical products and services; be eager to maintain and enhance customer relationships; be persistent in getting to decision makers; meet activity goals and sales objectives; and must possess exceptional communication skills- both verbal and written.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Selling and promoting calibration services to new customers using needs analysis, value based, and consultative techniques by phone
- Responsible for new customer acquisition and growth within assigned territory and/or industry channel by phone
- Meet and exceed key performance measurements
- Responsible for service proposal generation, presentation, and follow-up
- Responsible for the development of new customers
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ yrs. related experience (Business to Business sales)
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales objectives
- Must thrive in a high performance environment
- Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office– Outlook, Excel and Word
- Must be persistent and have excellent follow-up skills
Calibration Technician
Locations:

Position Description:
- Test, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instrumentation and equipment for conformance to established standards.
- Successful candidate must be able to perform essential functions either in a calibration laboratory or at a customer site.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, a high degree of motivation and work ethic.
- 3+ years experience as a technician.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and be able to travel to offsite customer locations (possibly overnight).
- Associates Degree, preferably in a technical discipline and/or Formal training in Metrology, such as the Precision Measurement Equipment Course (PMEL) or TMDE is highly desirable.
